Ceața se referă la semnificația ceții și poate fi exprimată astfel încât cu cât obiectul este mai departe de poziția punctului de vedere, ceața îl face dificil de văzut. Ceața nu este o setare comună ca un parametru de mediu, ci este setată pentru fiecare efect.
