Create a Microsoft account
Go to the MSN site. There is a "Sign in" link at the top right of the page, so click it. It can be any Microsoft-related site with a "Sign in" link in the upper right.
If you've already created an account, you can sign in by entering your email address and password in the fields. If you haven't created an account yet, click the "Sign up" link at the bottom right of the page.
Fill in the fields required to create an account.
If you already have an email address, you can register it as a username. This email address can be an email address of another service. If you want to create a Microsoft email address, click the Create a new email address link.
Enter any name and select a domain name. You can't enter names that are already in use, names that are too simple, etc.
After entering the required items, click the "Create Account" button.
When your account is created and signed in, the sign-in location will change to the name you signed in. Click on the name to select a profile.
You can set up your account.
Click the ▽ button next to your profile in the upper left corner to use web services such as "Outlook.com (email)", "calendar" and "SkyDrive (cloud storage)". You'll also be able to use a variety of other services, such as syncing your Windows settings with multiple PCs and participating in forums.
