Use XNA Game Studio Connect to connect Windows to Xbox 360. Please complete the following setup in advance.
Also, make sure that your computer and Xbox 360 are connected to a network. (For more information, see How to connect to Xbox Live.)
The first step is to set up your Xbox 360. Once you've started your Xbox 360, go to My Xbox and select Game Library.
*Make sure you're connected to Xbox Live beforehand.
Move to the right and open "Types".
Select Indie Games.
Select the new version of XNA Game Studio Connect.
Select Get Started.
Then, you will be taken to the "XNA Game Studio Connect" screen as shown in the figure.
When you open it for the first time, you will see a connection key in the center of the screen to connect to Windows. Make a note of this.
If you have already issued a connection key in a previous version, you may want to press the "Y" button to delete the connection key. (Maybe you can connect with the same key as it is)
Leave your Xbox 360 in this state.
Next, configure the settings on the Windows side. From the Start menu, select "Microsoft XNA Game Studio 4.0" > "XNA Game Studio Device Center" to launch it.
When the XNA Game Studio Device Center appears, click Add Device. (The image shows Zune, but ignore it.)
Click Xbox 360.
When you go to "Give your Xbox 360 console a name.", enter a name of your choice in "Xbox 360 Name". It may be safer to enter only alphanumeric characters.
After entering, click the "Next" button.
Then enter the Connection Key. Enter the Connection Key displayed on your Xbox 360.
After entering, click the "Next" button.
Since it uses a special port to communicate, a firewall warning like the one on the right may appear. In this case, allow access.
When a dialog like the one on the right is displayed, the connection is successful. Click the "Finish" button.
If another dialog is displayed, the connection has failed. Make sure that you have made a mistake and enter the Connection Key again.
If the connection is successful, your Xbox 360 will be added as shown on the right.
That's all set. Finally, you will be able to work on game development in earnest. It was a long initial setup, but thank you for your hard work.
