Set up Zune
summary
Describes how to set up Zune to develop games for Zune in XNA.
substance
First, install the Zune Client software. You can download it from the following page. Don't connect Zune. Even if it is connected, it will not be recognized because there is no driver.
Click the Download button to download the installer. Please note that the file size is large.
Run the downloaded file. This file is not an installer, but an executable file that simply extracts the files that are bundled together.
Click the Run button.
Specify the folder where you want to extract the files. Since multiple files will be extracted, it is a good idea to specify an empty folder. If you want to select a folder, you can do so from the "Browse..." button on the right.
After specifying the path, click the "Ok" button.
When the dialog on the right is displayed, the extraction of the file is complete. Close it with the "OK" button.
When the file on the right is extracted, run the "startzune.exe" file.
In Windows Vista, you may see a dialog similar to the one on the right. Click the "Continue" button.
Wait a moment when you see the screen on the right.
READ THE SOFTWARE LICENSE AND, IF YOU AGREE, CLICK THE ACCEPT BUTTON. If you do not agree, you will not be able to install it.
CLICK THE "INSTALL" BUTTON TO START THE INSTALLATION.
Wait for a while for the installation to complete.
When the dialog on the right is displayed, the installation is complete. If you want to close it as it is, press the "CLOSE" button. Click the Launch button to bring up the Zune menu.
Zune Software doesn't have much to do with XNA Game Studio, so you can try it yourself. You can sync music and videos. You can update your software and Zune here.
After you install the software, when you connect Zune to your PC, the driver is recognized and ready to connect.
This concludes the installation of the Zune driver. If you have not yet installed Visual Studio or XNA Game Studio, please follow the links below to configure each setting.
When you're done, move on to the next item.
