Long-range Shooting - Mission 05: Devil's Furnace

Page creation date :
  • All difficulty levels are explained in the highest difficulty authentic. On other difficulties, you only hit the red target in focus, so I won't explain it here. In Authentic, shooting is more difficult than other difficulty levels.
    • The projectile is affected by gravity. Therefore, it does not fly straight.
    • The bullets are affected by the wind. Therefore, it does not fly straight.
    • Even when using focus, time does not slow down.
    • Even when using focus, the final destination of the bullet is not displayed.
    • Even when using Focus, whether you hit enemies (red mark) is not displayed.
  • I have prepared videos and images, so I think using both will help you with your strategy.
  • Rifles often use the long-range "No.4 Lee" or "M.1903."
  • The standard rounds are 'match-grade rounds' that have longer range, but if it's hard to target enemies, they may use 'soft point rounds' that deal more damage.

Introduction

Mission 5's long-range shooting basically targets the sniper at the northwest lighthouse. If you just want to win gold medals, you just aim from a vantage point in the center of the map, so it's not that difficult. Although nighttime is a disadvantage, the enemy is a sniper, so the scope reflection makes it easy to locate them.

Shooting Pattern 1 (529m)

This is the pattern currently known to aim for the longest record. As mentioned earlier, if you only want to get gold medals, you just randomly aim for snipers at the northwest lighthouse from the center of the map, so I won't explain here.

First, move to the point marked by the light blue circle on the map above. The location is around the top of the grassy slope shown in the map below. There are many enemies nearby, so it's best to defeat them in advance.

Use binoculars to check the position of the lighthouse. Since the enemy is a sniper, I don't think you need to keep a detailed understanding of their position.

After that, aim with a rifle. Enemies can be positioned by the reflections from their scopes, so you don't need binoculars to determine their position. Depending on the shooting spot, there may be a fence in front, but since there is no bullet hitbox, you can aim as is. The only thing that simply worsens the visibility.

Shooting Pattern 2 (Aiming for Record) (Not Implemented)

This pattern has not yet been implemented.
