Long-range Shooting - Mission 06: Assault on Fall Rouge
- All difficulty levels are explained in the highest difficulty authentic. On other difficulties, you only hit the red target in focus, so I won't explain it here. In Authentic, shooting is more difficult than other difficulty levels.
- The projectile is affected by gravity. Therefore, it does not fly straight.
- The bullets are affected by the wind. Therefore, it does not fly straight.
- Even when using focus, time does not slow down.
- Even when using focus, the final destination of the bullet is not displayed.
- Even when using Focus, whether you hit enemies (red mark) is not displayed.
- I have prepared videos and images, so I think using both will help you with your strategy.
- Rifles often use the long-range "No.4 Lee" or "M.1903."
- The standard rounds are 'match-grade rounds' that have longer range, but if it's hard to target enemies, they may use 'soft point rounds' that deal more damage.
Introduction
The long-range shooting in Mission 6 is relatively short at 400m, just to earn a gold medal, You can easily achieve this by randomly targeting enemies far from the starting point. So here, I will explain how to aim for long-distance records.
| Medal | distance |
|---|---|
| Gold Medal | 400 |
| Gold Medal (Authentic) | 400 |
| Types of difficulty levels | Difficulty (400m) | Difficulty (625m) | Difficulty (637m) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flight distance | ★☆☆ | ★★★ | ★★★ |
| Poor visibility | ★☆☆ | ★☆☆ | ★★★ |
| Target Movement | ★☆☆ | ★★☆ | ★☆☆ |
| Preparation required before the challenge | ★☆☆ | ★☆☆ | ★★★ |
Shooting Pattern 0 (400m)
There are multiple targets over 400m from the southern starting point, so shoot them randomly to complete them.
Shooting Pattern 1 (625m)
Aim for snipers atop the northeastern fort from the southern starting point. Once you start, you can target from the spot. If you step back, you can increase your distance by about 1 meter.
Check the fort direction with binoculars. Snipers regularly patrol and are often out of sight, but they always stop just before the black wooden box, making it a good target. Wait until you can check the enemy with binoculars.
Once you spot the enemy, shoot with your rifle. Because the distance is long, the target is small, but the visibility is good, so you can aim for headshots. If you're unsure, it might be better to aim for damage with 'Soft Point Shots.'
Since it's a distance, I zoomed in. Visibility is good, so if you look closely, you can spot the sniper's figure. The right side of the diagram shows the impact point of the bullet. The farther away means the wind has a somewhat stronger impact.
By the way, besides the sniper on the third floor of the fortress this time, you can also target the sniper on the fourth floor a little further to the right. If you aim for this, you can extend your casting distance by about 6 meters. However, the 4th-floor sniper's patrol speed is extremely slow, so you'll have to wait quite a while. If your goal is simply to aim for a record, I think it's better to improve your time with Pattern 2.
Shooting Pattern 2 (637m, uses enemy stun)
This pattern, like Mission 03, involves stunning enemies and positioning them as far away as possible to snipe. The shooting point is the southern starting point, but the target is the sniper on the northeast fourth floor.
First, head to the sniper area on the 4th floor. Deal with enemies along the way as you like. Once you reach the 4th floor, knock out the sniper.
Carry the unconscious sniper to the wall on the left (east side) and place them on top of the wall. If you change equipment while holding it, you can drop it to the left side, so you can place it on it well. Also, since the firing line is barely visible, please place it as far back as possible on the fence.
Once you've placed the enemy, return to the southern starting point.
Use binoculars to check enemy positions. Binoculars have a large hitbox, so even if you can mark enemies, your line of fire may not pass through, so be careful. Note that even if you can mark a fallen enemy with binoculars, it is likely that enemies will not appear on the screen and cannot be seen with your eyes.
After that, shoot the fallen target with your rifle. Because enemies are down, the hitbox gets much smaller, making it quite difficult to hit. On the other hand, enemies don't move, so there's no worry about them escaping.
One thing to note is that fallen enemies may disappear when saved and loaded. When taking on a challenge, it's preferable to go no-save.
