Depending on the stage, there are event scenes before and after the battle starts. The player does not make any decisions because it proceeds in a conversational format, but in some events there is a player choice.
Events basically don't flow twice if you play the same stage, but you can also display them every time with optional settings. Event scenes can also be speed transitioned and readable (after the second time).
