I want to put another bone between two bones.

For example, suppose that fixed bones are connected as shown in the figure below.

If you want to add an invisible floating bone in the red circle, first add one floating bone to the parent bone.

Then the floating bone is just in between.

After that, drag the bone in the tree view and bring it to the child of the floating bone, and you're done.
